Roof Cupola Installation

Preparing your roof draw a center line on the cupola base on two opposite sides these will become the angled cutouts for your roof.

Form a pattern by marking the boards then trace that pattern on the base of your cupola. If the roof is longer than your tape measure pull two tape measures from opposite ends and determine where the centers of the two opposing tapes meet. Using the screws that came with your cupola screw the base and body together. First step is to determine the cupola location.

Using the same method used on the body. A sturdy ladder to begin installing your cupola and weathervane. Includes insect screen of compatible material on louver model. Line up the pivot point of the template with the center line and make sure the corners of the template meet with both.

After you ve secured the body you are ready to add the roof top of the cupola. Determine your roof pitch screw two boards together so they pivot. Fasten the cupola to the roof with 10 or 12 wood screws of sufficient length to penetrate the roof boards. Install base flashing provided.

Set cupola over curb. Measure and mark the center of where the cupola will be installed. Available with windows or louvers. Straddle the roof with each board as shown making sure each side is flat against the roof and the center is at the center of the peak.

Cut and frame opening to 2 1 2 above roof deck. Standard cupola installation guide. Attach with fasteners provided. Set the cupola in place on the roof.

Line the mid section body of the cupola with the pre drilled holes that can be found in the base and the body. Please read installation guide thoroughly before starting. All you need are two boards and a screw.
